Vienna - Prague

Sep 07   

Hofburg Palace, winter residence of the Austrian imperial family. Marvel at the impressive courtyards and famousHeldenplatz, and visit Strauss House. Afterward we depart for our today final destination the magical city of Prague. Arrival, check inn at the hotel. Dinner & Overnight.[D]
   Day 2  Prague

After breakfast we depart for our city tour. We start from the Small Town (Mala Strana) and the Old Town. We will walk from the Gothic Charles Bridge IV (14th century) decorated with 37 statues of saints and two gothic towers, as the Old Town Hall with the famous Astronomical Clock, the arched palaces. We shall visit the Acropolis Castle-Town Chrantsani of Prague, a city within a city. Among others you will see the Strahov Monastery, the Loretta, the Gothic Cathedral of St.Vitto, the Powder Tower, the Ghetto, the miniature of the alchemists, the old seat-residence of the kings of Bohemia and finally the knight-tower Dalibor, where we will enjoy the panoramic views of this fabulous city.    Day 3  Prague - Budapest

Breakfast at the hotel and early departure. We head to our today destination the capital of Hungary Budapest but on our way we shall have a short visit of the capital city of Slovakia, Bratislava. We will pass by and admire some of its main sites, such as the impressive Bratislava Castle, the Grassalkovich Palace, Michael’s Gate and many others. Some time rest. And then we continue for our final destination. Arrival in Budapest late in the afternoon. Check inn at the Hotel. Dinner & Overnight. [B,D]
   Day 4 Budapest - Zagreb

Sep 10  

Breakfast at the hotel and we will begin immediately the City tour from the monumental Heroes' Square with the Millennium Monument where you know the history of the country. Then we will visit the Cathedral of St. Stephen, the Avenue of the Republic, the opera and the well-preserved buildings, massive Baroque Parliament and bridges which connect Buda with Pest. Then you will move to Buda, where we admire the Castle, the Statue of Liberty, the National Gallery, the tower of Fishermen and the historic church of St. Matt. Then going to the hill GKELLERT, where we will admire the panoramic view of BUDDHA PESTIS and the Danube.After that we continue to our today final destination the capital of Croatia, city of Zagreb. Arrival in Zagreb late in the afternoon. Check inn at the Hotel. Dinner & Overnight. [B,D]
   Day 5  Zagreb - Sibenik

Breakfast at the hotel and then you meet your Local Guide and start your morning sightseeing, which features all important landmarks of the Lower and medieval Upper Town, such as the Parliament, Stone Gate, the Archbishop’s Palace, plus a visit to the majestic CATHEDRAL. Continue to Plitvice, and soak in the pure beauty of the NATIONAL PARK, famous for its lakes, waterfalls, and forests. Drive towards the Adriatic coast and stop in our hotel in Zadar area. Check inn at the Hotel. Dinner & Overnight in Sibenik. [B,D]
   Day 6  Sibenik - Trogir - Zadar

Breakfast and departure for the neighboring island-city of medieval Trogir, declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Trogir is connected to the mainland by a fine bridge, considered a spiritual center of Dalmatia and a popular tourist destination with excellent tourist infrastructure. Then we will visit Split, the largest Dalmatian city, along the "lacy" Dalmatian coast. Tour of the medieval town, where we will visit the palace of the Emperor Diocletian and the Archaeological Museum with antiquities from the Roman period of the city. Free time in the famous Riva (waterfront).In the afternoon we return to Zadar for our tour to take place. Zadar is a Croatian city located between Rijeka and Split, not far away from Sibenik. It is a few thousand years old town and it was the capital of Dalmatia for many centuries. Our tour will start from visiting The Roman Forum which was constructed between the 1st Century BC and 3rd Century AD. Then we will visit the Church of St. Donatus. It is the largest Pre-romanesque building in Croatia. Return at the hotel. Dinner & Overnighht in Sibenik [B,D]
 Day 7  Sibenik - Mostar - Sarayevo

Breakfast at the hotel and we depart for our today first stop the Martyr city of Mostar. Enter Bosnia-Herzegovina and stop in the city of Mostar. Admire the OLD BRIDGE, the city’s symbol, ordered by Suleiman the Magnificent, the Ottoman ruler in 1566, replacing the older wooden bridge. Continue to Sarajevo, where the Olympics took place in 1984, and which is the second city in the world (after California) that owned an electric tram network. Arrival, check inn at the hotel.  Day 8    Sarayevo - Dubrovnik

Breakfast early at the hotel and we begin first with our short panoramic city tour in Sarayevo. we shall have a short panoramic city tour. We will visit Bascarsija which is the main street of Sarajevo and one of its landmarks. It was designed in the Ottoman-Turkish style. Then we will go to the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque. It is considered the most important Islamic structures in the country and one of the worlds finest examples of Ottoman Architecture. During the tour, we will lead you to visit Tunnel War Museum. It was constructed by the besieged citizens of Sarajevo in order to link the city of Sarajevo, which was entirely cut-off by Serbian forces, with the Bosnian-held territory on the other end of the supposedly neutral area at the Sarajevo Airport controlled by the United Nations. The tunnel linked the Sarajevo neighbourhoods of Dobrinja and Butmir. Immediate departure for our next visit, the famous Our Lady of Medjugorje. The visionary Mirjana Soldo claims to receive message from the Virgin Mary on 2nd of every month and Marija Lunetti the other visionary claims to receive messages from the Virgin Mary on the 25thof every month. The messages of Our Lady have a strong following in the Catholic world and it is estimated that approximate 30million pilgrims have come since the apparitions began in 1981. Afterward we head to our final today destination the marvelus medieval city of Dubrovnik. Check inn at the hotel. Overnight. [B]
 Day 9  Dubrovnik

Breakfast and departure for our tour at the medieval city of Dubrovnik which was ruthlessly beaten by Serbs and Montenegrins in 1991, but today is difficult to realize that this cluster of Roman, medieval and Renaissance elements, aged 1300 years, had suffered damage to 68% of its buildings. The historic part of the (protected by Unesco) is a fortified city a half kilometers long. Literally flies over from the old town, towering stone buildings with windows, turrets and tiny "hanging" gardens, castles, palaces, fountains. In the middle is a paved plaza that leads from the Franciscan monastery on the western side, the clock tower at the other end, where is the palace of the governor (1441) and the church of the city's patron, Saint Vlaho. Visit the pharmacy operated continuously since 1391! The square is permanently full of tourists. Then free time or we propose you an optional cruise on one of the green islands of Dubrovnik. The pine island Lokrum where shipwrecked according to local tradition-the king of England Richard I the Lionheart, but miraculously survived. Visit the beautiful botanical garden, the salty lake called the Dead Sea and the ruins of the monastery church of Richard the Lionheart. In the afternoon we return at the hotel. Overnight. [B]
 Day 10  Ohrid - Budva

Breakfast early in the morning and Crossing the valley we reach Konavle unique Mediterranean fjord Bay Kotor. The turquoise color of the sea and the green of the Dalmatian coast will accompany us until our entrance to Kotor, which is perhaps the most beautiful but also the most interesting from a historical perspective city the coastline of Montenegro. In Kotor tour the old city, built at the foot of steep hills, surrounded by walls 4.5 km which date from the 15th century, with many old churches and aristocratic homes. In the afternoon we will visit and walk the famous summer resort Budva-perfectly restored medieval town, surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, castles, shops shoppers. We continue to our today final destination and late in the evening we arrive at the lake city of Ohrid. Check inn at the hotel. Dinner & Overnight. [B,D]
 Day 11  Ohrid - Skopje - Sofia

Breakfast at the hotel and we begin our panoramic city tour of Ohrid, with its beautiful lake, where a guided walking tour features the OLD TOWN with its picturesque houses and many churches. Apparently, Ohrid once had 365 churches, one for each day of the year. Then we continue to the capital city of F.Y.R.O.M. Skopje where you will meet your Local Guide. Hear about Macedonia’s proud history and see its main sites, like the Millennium Cross, built to celebrate 2,000 years of Christianity; the Memorial House of Mother Theresa, who came from here; [LF] and the ALEXANDER THE GREAT STATUE on Macedonian Square. Later, cross the border and arrive in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. Check inn at the Hotel. Dinner & Overnight. [B,D]
 Day 12  Sofia - Thessaloniki

Breakfast at the hotel and meet your Local Guide and hear about the history of this fascinating city. Sofia was known as Serdica centuries before Christ, and was even ruled for a while by Alexander the Great’sfather, Philip of Macedonia. Visit the ancient HOLY SOFIA CHURCH. We continue to Thessaloniki “capital” of Northern Greece. On our panoramic city tour of Thessaloniki we will see the “Kamara”, Byzantine churches, Rotunda, Saint Sofia, Egnatia, Aristotle Square. We will pass through the castles of the Upper City where unfolds another world with endless beauty. Finally we check inn our hotel. Dinner & Overnight [B,D]
 Day 13  Thessaloniki - Athens

Transfer from Thessaloniki to Athens. Breakfast at the hotel and early departure for our unique today's first stop will be the small town of Kalabaka where we shall visit the World Famous “Meteora” Rocks and its famous monasteries. Here the landscape is impressive, monasteries seem like hanging from the sky. Early in the afternoon we continue for our final destination capital of Greece famous Athens. [B,D]

The participant(s) acknowledge receiving and agreeing to these terms and conditions as set forth below covering the vacation to be operated by Olé Travel,San Francisco, CA.

 

RESERVATION/PAYMENT Call or visit your Travel Agent for reservations. A non-refundable deposit of $400 per person is due within 7 days of booking. (For bookings between Dec 17 & Jan 9 and for Easter week the deposit is required at booking.) Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure. (For itineraries with CRUISES the deposit is $600 per person, and final payment is due 90 days before departure.) Additional deposits may be necessary during high season in most countries-such deposits are non-refundable. Payment of a deposit constitutes acceptance of all these Terms and Conditions. If payment is made by credit card, participant(s) waive any chargeback rights.

RATES All rates quoted are based on tariffs at time of printing, and are subject to change. Prices are per person, based on 2 passengers traveling together at any time. Single rates still imply that 2 persons min. traveling; if a single person wants to travel with no other passengers, additional costs will be charged. Child rates are available for air and in most hotels but not in all. Reductions are based on a child sharing a room with at least 2 adults. 

 

INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED Everything specifically mentioned in the itinerary in hotels/lodges indicated. The right is reserved to substitute hotels. Not included are US departure Tax/Custom fees, airport/port taxes, gratuities and any item not specifically mentioned as included.

TOUR COST INCLUSIONS Olé negotiates for the best possible rate available at the time of booking considering quality, quantitiy and type of service offered. In our rates to you, we have to include general costs, all commissions and credit fees and Olé compensation for operation, supervision, promotion and profit. Once quotes are accepted, no adjustment for rates paid can be made.

DOCUMENTS/VOUCHERS Vouchers and tickets are issued after final payment is received. Final documents CANNOT be issued if a copy of this page is not received duly signed by the passenger.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS Your right to refunds if you change or cancel your reservation is limited. The following per person fees apply: Up to 50 days before departure $500 + any supplier penalties from vendor 49 to 31 days $700 + any supplier penalties from vendor 30 days to no-show 100% Nonrefundable. Airline tickets 100% Nonrefundable.
These cancellation fees are applied above any air ticket cost. Cancellations must be in writing. Olé reserves the right to cancel any booking, or part of it, at any time as a result of force majeure or for reasons outside Olé’s control. No refunds will be made for unused travel services, nor is the price or value of unused travel services exchangeable for alternative arrangements. arrangements.

LATE BOOKINGS/CHANGESLate bookings (within 15 days) are accepted on space available basis; a late booking fee of $30 is required and overnight express cost will be added. All bookings requested within 30 days of departure MUST be guaranteed by credit card. There is a $30 fee for each change made after confirmation. Within 30 days of travel any changes in dates will be treated as a cancellation and penalties will apply. Names changes are subject to hotel acceptance and penalties. Additional change charges will apply for resrvations involving scheduled air service.

INSURANCE Due to strict enforcement of cancellation penalties by suppliers, cancellation insurance is VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS: We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, DINERS & AMERICAN EXPRESS. Verbal authorization binds clients to all terms and conditions and allows us to process reservation at quoted cost. With the reception of documents, card holders acknowledge receipt of services and agree to perform the obligations set forth in the agreement with the card issuer.

DOCUMENTATION U.S. citizens need to have a valid passport (visa is necessary for some countries). It is your responsibility to obtain information and proper documentation-(ask your Travel Agent). Olé assumes no responsibility for changes in document requirements nor for entry into any destination for any passenger not having proper documentation. Passengers denied boarding because of improper documentation will receive no refund. Full cancellation penalties apply to cancellations due to incorrect documentation.


AIR TRANSPORTATON Once tickets are issued they are non-refundable and non-endorsable. Penalties apply for name and date changes and arethe responsibility of the passenger. Air carriers will change a reservation if space is available in the proper class of service for an additional fee to be paid by the passenger.


BAGGAGE Internationally checked luggage is limited to a maximum weight not to exceed 72 pounds and 62 inches dimension (L+W+H0. Flights operated within a foreign country are usually on smaller aircraft, with luggage limited to 25 lbs. Olé is not responsible for any baggage charge for excess weight or for any luggage having to be left behind for not complying with these regulations

CRUISE ITINERARIES Itineraries on smaller cruise ships may be subject to changes due to many conditions/ reasons. No refunds can be requested for any alteration of itinerary, even if the cruise does not touch the originally planned ports of call. GALAPAGOS PARK TAX is NOT included in rate and must be paid locally by each passenger. GRATUITIES to crew/guides are not included.

PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS Passengers able to walk a few hours a day, unassisted, will enjoy most itineraries. Some excursions are strenuous, involving long walks. On many itineraries in Latin America, road conditions can be difficult and a ride may take a full day to cover a short distance. Most ecotourism programs are not recommended if you are not fullly mobile. Handicapped, we regret, cannot participate as there are no facilities to accomodate them.


SCHEDULE & DELAYS All travel times are based on the best information and timetables available at confirmation. Because of the nature of the destination, changes to schedule and/or itinerary may be necessary and may prevent the inclusion of some activities scheduled for the day. No refunds can be given for such eliminations. We also cannot accept any responsibility for losses or accidental expenses due to changes or delays in airline schedules, hotel overbookings or defaults, weather, strikes, sickness, war, riots or any other causes. All such losses/expenses are the responsibility of the passenger.


RESPONSIBILITY Olé has made arrangements for the tour services described in this brochure/invoice through independent contractors which are not the agents or employees of Olé or its affiliates. All travel vouchers and other travel documents issued by Olé are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier;to the laws of their countries and to international conventions between countries. Any complaint should be sent in writing within twenty (20) days of return. Olé reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to make changes in the itinerary whenever deemed necessary for the convenience or safety of the participant and to cancel a tour at any time. If a tour is canceled, Olé shall have no liability beyond the refund of all monies paid by the passenger which will be deemed to constitute full and final settlement. If the services included cannot be supplied or there are changes in the program, Olé will use its best efforts to arrange for comparable services where applicable. Any resulting additional expenses will be the responsibility of the participant. The participant agrees that neither Olé nor its affiliates and employees shall be liable for any damages, loss (including but not limited to personal injury, mental distress, loss of employment, death and property loss) inconvenience, or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing tour services, or by any change in itinerary unless caused by the negligence of Olé or its employees in its contractual duty. The tour participant expressly waives all rights which he or she may have against Olé in connection with the foregoing. No person, other than an officer of Olé by a document in writing, is authorized to vary or waive any condition in this brochure. Under no circumstances is Olé to be constructed as a carrier under contract for safe carriage of the passenger or his/her luggage and belongings. No carrier shall have any responsibility except its liability as a common carrier. By enrolling in and paying for a tour, participants agree to accept and are bound by the terms and conditions in this brochure.
